ISRO rocket of India's space agency successfully places Europe's Proba-3 into orbit on 05-12-2024

The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) successfully launched the PSLV-C59/PROBA-3 mission on 05-12-2024.

The Proba-3 (Project for Onboard Anatomy) consists of two satellites — Coronagraph (310kgs) and Occulter (240kgs) – of Europe in which two spacecraft would fly together as one, maintaining precise formation down to a single millimetre to study the Corona, the Sun’s outer atmosphere.

The launch of the mission took place from First Launch Pad (FLP), Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR), Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
