
On 12-01-2024, Women cell under the leadership of Radha Kumari, Computer Department Lecturer prepared 1 Kg Sweet Bellam Pongal in Middle Sized pot, which was very sweet and nice compared not so good 5 kg quantity which was brought from hotel opposite to Jipmer Hospital.




Recipe Preparation:
Sweet Pongal
Ingredients:
1kg rice
300g moongdal
1kg jaggery
1/4 kg ghee
100g cashew nuts
100g kissmiss
50g ilachi powder
2 litre milk
Recipe:
Step1: semi roast moongdal and rice on a medium flame
Step2: add some water(1/4 glass) to milk and boil, add rice and moongdal to running milk and cook completely
Step3: switch off flame and add jaggery, ghee roasted chasew and kissmiss, ghee and ilachi powder to the cooked Pongal and mix well
Step4: leave it for 5 mins and serve
