As I need to attend this program, as I was principal incharge, I posted the message in shuttle group previous day, that not coming tomorrow. On 21-09-2024, I woke up at 6.30 a.m, and started thinking that, whether Dr. Jayaveeran has arranged banner , plastic black bags, gloves etc. I made myself ready and at 7.30 a.m , I called Jayaveeran and enquired the above things, he said everything is ready and also to invite RAO Sir personally. I told him to invite RAO sir at RAO office and asked him to come sharply by 8.00 AM. I went to RAO office and sat on the bench in front of church and called Jayaveeran sir that I was waiting for him. After 10 minutes, he also came. We both went inside into the RA Chamber and invited RA sir. He accepted, but also told us that Malladi has brought college students from Ramchandrapuram and they are already doing cleaning work.
I posted a message in Braptc group – RAO Sir and Municipality Commissioner are attending this programme as chief guests and request everyone to attend.
After that I along with Prasad, ECE lab instructor went to Rajiv Gandhi Statue Park. Time is already 8.30 AM, but no staff particularly STC and no students came. I wanted to posted a message in Braptc that No STC turned up, but in turn, I posted the message in I year group asking them to come fast. Even I called to few students. స్టూడెంట్స్, plz come fast to Rajiv Gandhi statue park, we r waiting
After 10 minutes some STC staff and students totalling 20 came. China Anand also came with gloves, black bags and two banners. That time, RAO car is also coming from Jesus statue. Actually I wanted to stop the car, but car was stopped. From that car, to my surprise, Malladi Krishna Rao – Ex MLA came out along with RAO.
At 9.00 AM , the programme started with Malladi leading the way, went for 20 minutes.
International Coastal Cleanup Day Observed by NSS Unit of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Polytechnic College, Yanam
Yanam, 21st September 2024:
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Polytechnic College, Yanam, organized a coastal cleanup program today at 8:30 AM on Beach Road, Yanam, as part of International Coastal Cleanup Day. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri. Malladi Krishnarao, Special Representative to the Government of Puducherry, and Shri. R.Mounissamy, Regional Administrator of Yanam.
In his inaugural address, Shri. Malladi Krishnarao emphasized the importance of protecting coastal ecosystems and encouraged the students and public to actively engage in environmental conservation efforts. Shri. R.Mounissamy also appreciated the initiative taken by the NSS unit, highlighting the vital role such programs play in keeping the coastline clean and safe.
Present at the event were the In-charge Principal, Mr. V.V.L.P. Raju, Office Superintendent, Mr. Sadanala Babu, NSS Regional Coordinator, Mr. Ch. K. Sudhakar, all staff members, and enthusiastic NSS volunteers, led by NSS Program Officer, Dr. A. Jayaveeran.
The coastal cleanup program was a resounding success, with active participation from students and faculty, symbolizing a collective effort towards environmental sustainability and public responsibility.
