జనవరి 1 నుంచి 5 వరకు నేపాల్ దేశంలో జరిగిన ఇండియా-నేపాల్ బాల్ బాడ్మింటన్ పోటీలు, అలాగే ఈ నెల 14 నుంచి 19 వరకు ఇండోనేషియాలో జరిగిన ఇండియా-ఇండోనేషియా బాల్ బాడ్మింటన్ పోటీలలో యానాం బాల్ బాడ్మింటన్ క్లబ్కు చెందిన చోడే గుణశ్యామ్, ఎడ్ల రవికుమార్లు స్వర్ణ పతకాలు సాధించారు.
ఈ పోటీలు బాల్ బాడ్మింటన్ ఫెడరేషన్ ఆఫ్ ఆసియా ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్వహించబడ్డాయి. క్రీడాకారులను శిక్షణ ఇచ్చిన పీఈటీ బొట్టా శ్రీనివాస్, రాయవరపు విజయ్లను క్లబ్ అధ్యక్షుడు కాపగంటి పవన్ కుమార్, కార్యదర్శి కాపగంటి ఆదర్శ శేషుసుమన్ అభినందించారు.
పుదుచ్చేరి ప్రభుత్వం ఢిల్లీ ప్రత్యేక ప్రతినిధి మల్లాడి కృష్ణారావు క్రీడాకారులను శాలువాతో సత్కరించారు.

Two sportspersons from Yanam won gold medals in international Ball Badminton tournaments.
Chode Gunashyam and Edla Ravikumar of Yanam Ball Badminton Club secured gold medals in the India–Nepal tournament held in Nepal from January 1 to 5 and in the India–Indonesia tournament held from 14 to 19 of this month in Indonesia.
The tournaments were conducted under the Ball Badminton Federation of Asia. Club President Kapaganti Pawan Kumar and Secretary Kapaganti Adarsha Seshusuman congratulated the players and their coaches PET Botta Srinivas and Rayavarapu Vijay.
Delhi Special Representative of Puducherry Government Malladi Krishnarao honoured the players with shawls.
Yanam Administrator Ankita Kumar has been transferred to Mahe in the Union Territory.
Shivraj Meena has been appointed in his place. He previously served effectively as Yanam Administrator and is currently serving as Director of Puducherry Port and DIG of Prisons.
Orders were issued transferring 14 PCS officers across Puducherry.
