India Successfully Test-Fires Agni-5 Missile
India on Wednesday successfully test-fired its Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile ‘Agni-5’ from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur in Odisha.
The defence ministry said the test-firing of the missile from the Integrated Test Range in Odisha’s Chandipur validated all operational and technical parameters.
“Conducted under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command, the launch validated all operational and technical parameters of the missile, marking a significant boost to the country’s strategic deterrence capabilities.” the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
AGNI-5 is nuclear capable and has a range of 5000 kilometres. Europe, Asia , Middle East and major part of Africa comes in its range.

బుధవారం భారతదేశం ఒడిశాలోని చందీపూర్లోని సమగ్ర పరీక్షా కేంద్రం నుండి తన మధ్య శ్రేణి బాలిస్టిక్ క్షిపణి ‘అగ్ని-5’ను విజయవంతంగా పరీక్షించింది.
క్షిపణిని ఒడిశాలోని చందీపూర్ సమగ్ర పరీక్షా కేంద్రం నుండి పరీక్షించగా, అన్ని ఆపరేషనల్ మరియు సాంకేతిక పరామితులను ధృవీకరించిందని రక్షణ మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ తెలిపింది.
“స్ట్రాటజిక్ ఫోర్సెస్ కమాండ్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్వహించిన ఈ ప్రయోగం, క్షిపణి యొక్క అన్ని ఆపరేషనల్ మరియు సాంకేతిక పరామితులను ధృవీకరించింది. దేశం యొక్క వ్యూహాత్మక నిరోధక సామర్థ్యాలకు ఇది ఒక ముఖ్యమైన బలాన్ని అందించింది” అని రక్షణ మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ ఒక ప్రకటనలో తెలిపింది.
