On 12-06-2025, Air Indian Plane AI-171 of Boeing Dreamliner 787 going to London crashed near Ahmedabad Air port killing all 280 people including 242 passengers with 169 Indians, 53 Britons , 7 Portuguese and 10 crew members and 30 medico students who are taking lunch in Doctors hostel. This is the first fatal crash of Boeing Dreamliner in its Aviation history.
