ECO club programme in KPTC, Karaikal
1. Eco club of Karaikal polytechnic college successfully organized a tree sapling program at college campus premises.
The program was inaugurated by Thiru.K.Francis Principal /KPTC, who addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of green initiatives in educational institutions.More than 20 tree saplings were planted across the college campus as part of this initiative. The National service scheme (NSS)and NCC cadets Naval unit actively participated in the event, showcasing their dedication and teamwork. ECO club coordinators Mr.Sape vijayakumar Lecturer /EEE and Mr. G.Sivachidambaram Lecturer /CT were guided on proper planting techniques and the significance of nurturing the saplings for a greener future.The initiative received positive feedback from the students, who appreciated the efforts in promoting environmental responsibility. Such activities not only enhance campus greenery but also inspire students to adopt eco-friendly practices to their local areas.

Traffic Awareness Program Conducted at karaikal Polytechnic College
KPTC, March 27, 2025 – A Traffic Awareness Program was successfully organized at karaikal Polytechnic College to educate students on road safety and traffic regulations. The initiative was led by the NCC unit in collaboration with local traffic police officials.
The session covered essential topics such as road signs, safe driving practices, the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, and the consequences of traffic violations. The event aimed to instill responsible behavior among students, especially those using two-wheelers.
The program featured interactive demonstrations, awareness videos, and a Q&A session with traffic police officers, ensuring cadets and volunteers gained practical knowledge on adhering to road safety norms. NCC cadets played a crucial role in organizing the event and spreading awareness among their peers.
Speaking at the event, college authorities appreciated the efforts of the NCC unit and traffic police for their commitment to promoting road safety. The session concluded with a pledge to follow traffic rules and ensure the safety of all road users.
