I saw the exit poll of India today channel on 01-06-2024 for 3 hours from 6.30 p.m as last phase concluded for 2024 Loksabha elections ( marathon schedule of nearly 44 days) as Prime Modi of BJP eying for consecutive 3rd. In this channel they predicted that his party with NDA is getting from 370 to 401 seats which is far away from the majority mark of 272.
On 04-6-24, As I was glued to the television to see my favourite Modi’s party BJP sweeping the elections 2024, I was shocked to see BJP had to settle with 240 seats short of 32 seats for majority on its own , But its alliance with other parties TDP and JDU is managed to get 292 seats and congress with its allies (India block) surprised everyone by getting 233 seats. UP and Maharastra are big turning point in this election, particularly UP. This resulted the stock crashed with 4000 points (Probably it is first time I saw this much dive after I started my stock market).
NDA finally had to settle with 293 seats and had to depend on TDP (16) and JDU (15). Let us see how this goes for BJP Modi’s 3rd term.
