Biology Notes for Neet

The peanut is a dicotyledonous plant. If you look closely at the seed you will notice it splits easily into two parts. These are the cotyledons. The embryonic shoot (embryo) is found between the cotyledons, and will grow into the new plant after germination if the seed is planted.
