Today (08/03/2023), International Women’s Day was celebrated at Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Polytechnic College under the support of Mr.P.Velayutham, Principal of Dr.BRAPTC. Mrs.V.Chithra, Vice Principal of STPP Govt. Junior College attended the function as a Chief guest. Mr. A.Karunakaran (HOD I/C of ECE), Mr.aV.V.V.L.P. Raju (HID I/C of I year), Mr.A.Jayaveeran (HOD I/C of Civil Dept.), Mr.S.Satyanarayana (Superintendent), all teaching, non- teaching staff had added the grace to the event. This program highlighted the importance of women, the role of women and her greatness in every sphere of our life. On this occasion, several activities like singing, elocution, dumbsharads and draw on a balloon competitions were conducted behalf of the college and several students had participated with a great enthusiasm. The gathering was extended a gracious welcome with a graceful dance by the students to mark this day. Various games were conducted by women faculty and students were delighted by this surprise given to them.

Respected Chief guest Mrs. Chitra madam, vice-principal, S.T.P.P Govt. Junior College, Yanam, our beloved principal Velayutham sir, ECE H.O.D in-charge Karunakaran Sir, C.E Department In-charge Jnani Sir, Civil Department In-charge Jayaveeran Sir and other teaching and non-teaching staff members and my dear students. Today we all gathered here to celebrate International Womens Day.
దీనిని తెలుగు లో అంతర్జాతీయ మహిళా దినోత్సవం గ జరుపుకుంటాం. ఈ సందర్భం గ ఇక్కడ ఉన్న విద్యార్దినులకు , ఉపాద్యాయినులకు శుభాకాంక్షలు తెలియ జేస్తున్నాను. మహిళా అంటే స్త్రీ . స్త్రీ మన సమాజానికి అనేక రూపాలు లో సమాజ అభివృద్ధికి తోడ్పడుతుంది. ఒక తల్లి గ లాలిస్తుంది, చెల్లిగా తోడుంటుంది, భార్యగా బాగోగులు చూస్తుంది, స్నేహితురాలుగా సలహాలు ఇస్తుంది. అయినా మన సమాజం స్త్రీలను చులకన గ చూస్తుంది. మన సమాజ నిర్మాణం లో సగభాగమైన స్త్రీ సమానత్వం ప్రగతి కి మూలం. అందుకే ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి మార్చ్ 8 ని ప్రతి ఏటా అంతర్జాతీయ మహిళా దినోత్సవం గ జరుపుతుంది. పూర్వం మన ఋషులు గ్రంధాల లో ఒక విషయం స్త్రీల గురుంచి వ్రాసారు . అదేమిటి అంటే ఎక్కడ స్త్రీలు పూజింపబడతారో అక్కడ దేవతలు కొలువై ఉంటారు అని. మనం స్త్రీలను పూజించ అవసరం లేదు కానీ, పురుషుల తో సమానం అన్న నిజాన్ని గ్రహించాలి. నేటి సమాజం లో కొందరు మహిళలు ఆత్మధైర్యం తో, తమ స్వశక్తి తో శిఖరాలని అధిరోహిస్తున్నారు. విద్య రంగం లో కానీ, రాజకీయం లో కానీ, వ్యాపారం లో కానీ, క్రీడా రంగం లో కానీ, ఇలా ఏ రంగమైనా పురుషులతో పోటీపడి మన భారత దేశానికీ పేరు, ప్రఖ్యాతలు తీసుకొని వస్తున్నారు. ఉదాహరణకి, రాణి రుద్రమ దేవి కాకతీయ సామ్రాజ్యం విస్తరణ లో కానీ, ఇందిరా గాంధీ దేశ ప్రధాన మంత్రి గ కానీ, మదర్ థెరెసా సేవ రంగం లో కానీ, కల్పనా చావ్లా స్పేస్ రంగం లో కానీ, పి.వి. సింధు షూట్ట్లెర్ క్రీడా రంగం లో కానీ ఇలా ఎందరో మహిళా మణులు మన భారత దేశానికి పేరు ప్రఖ్యాతులు తెచ్చారు.
మన గవర్నమెంట్ అఫ్ ఇండియా కూడా మహిళల కోసం డ్వాకా గ్రూప్స్ ద్వారా, స్కిల్ డెవలప్మెంట్ కోర్సెస్ ద్వారా శిక్షణ కల్పిస్తూ అనేక ఉపాధి అవకాశాలు కల్పిస్తున్నారు. ఈ సందర్భం గ ఇక్కడ ఉన్న విద్యార్థినులు (ఫ్యూచర్ విమెన్) ki చెప్పేది ఏంటంటే మీరు బాగా చదువుకోవాలి, మీ చదువుని మధ్యలో ఆపకుండా మీ కాళ్ళ మీద మీరు నిలబడేలా మంచి ఉపాధి ని పొందాలి. ఇక్కడ ఉన్న బాయ్స్ (ఫ్యూచర్ మెన్) కి చెప్పేది ఏంటంటే మీరు స్త్రీలను గౌరవించడం నేర్చుకోవాలి. అప్పుడే మన సమాజం బాగుంటుంది. మన జాతిపిత గాంధీ ఏమన్నారంటే మనకు అసలైన స్వతంత్రం ఎప్పుడు అంటే స్త్రీలు అర్థరాత్రి స్వేచ్ఛ గా, భయం లేకుండా తిరిగిన రోజున అని . ఇప్పటికి కొన్ని చోట్ల బయట తిరగ లేని పరిస్థితి. ఇవన్నీ పోవాలంటే మగ వాళ్ళ ఆలోచన దృక్పధం మారాలి. అప్పుడే మన సమాజం బాగుంటుంది. నాకీ ఈ అవకాశం ఇచ్చిన మన ప్రిన్సిపాల్ వేలాయుతం గారికి, ఆర్గనైజింగ్ Committee విమెన్ ఫాకల్టీ మెంబెర్స్ కి పేరు పేరున కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలియజేస్తూ సెలవు తీసుకుంటున్నాను. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Polytechnic College Celebrates International Women’s Day with Grandeur
Yanam, 8th March 2025: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Polytechnic College, Yanam, celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm, honoring the invaluable contributions of women in education, society, and beyond. The event was marked by inspiring speeches, cultural traditions, and a heartfelt felicitation of the women faculty and staff.
The celebration commenced with a prayer song, followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp by dignitaries. Women’s club member s Mrs. K. H. L. Radhakumari, K. Radhakumari, Ameer Unnisa begum, welcomed and setting the tone for the program.
The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Mutyala Sri Jayalakshmi, a renowned women’s activist and Mahila Regional Coordinator for East & West Godavari Districts, as the Chief Guest. She emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment, gender equality, and the role of education in shaping the future for young women.
The Presidential Address was delivered by In-Charge Principal Shri Naga Azmera, who highlighted the crucial role of women in academics and administration. This was followed by a special address by Shri Sadanala VV Satyanarayana, Office Superintendent, acknowledging the dedication and hard work of women faculty and staff.
One of the key moments of the event was the felicitation ceremony, Dr. A. Jayaveeran, NSS PO, and VVLP Raju honored the women faculty and staff with appreciation and gratitude.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by a friendly gathering over refreshments, fostering camaraderie among faculty and students.
The event was a resounding success, reinforcing the message that women are the backbone of society and must be recognized, respected, and empowered in all walks of life.
