On 5-9-23, Teachers day was conducted in our college’s Twin shed after a long gap. Principal Velayutham has cancelled the day’s classes. Final year students organised this programme. Principal decided to sponsor non-vegetarian lunch by collecting money from staff members. For this, I contributed Rs2,000 hurriedly as the students came to me with list, in that three members ppl, hod and sup contributed Rs2,000. But later ppl posted a message in group that regular lecturer can contribute Rs.1000. The programme was started at 11.15 a.m, even though they gave 10.00 a.m in the invitation card. I, in the capacity of First year hod I/c along with ppl, ce hod , naga and sup- babu were invited on to the daisies. I gave a speech in Telugu about teachers day. This time opportunity came last but one before sup. After speeches, Musical chair game conducted separately for lady and jent faculties. Chandrakala (ECE staff) was winner. From jents side, sup-babu was winner and I was runner-up (Though I participated in this type of game for first time). Male staff 14 members participated.
Lunch was provided (NV). items – Biriyani, Chicken with gravy, prawn-drumsticks curry, rice , sambar and curd. At 4.00 p.m, two female faculties one from computer department and another from first year department (Physics) sang some songs . Afterwards another game conducted with bowl and some white slips (in that slips they wrote singing, dancing, ramp walk, tongue twister, mimicry like that). In this game I didn’t participated. Next they conducted Antakshari to male and female staff members. For first time, I sung a song with starting letter dha, as male faculty members not ready to sing. Dhanchave menatta kuthura (two lines) from Telugu movie man gamma gari manavudu (though I missed one line between them). Due to my effort, it was continued for sometime. Next, Ppl cut the cake and gave it to everyone. All staff members facilitated one by one with some gifts. But I observed that two lady faculties got huge fans from students. As time is going beyond 5.30 p.m, I left the venue and college to water my terrace plants. When I opened my gift, I found that, one photo frame with two Eiffel towers side by side.
నా టీచర్స్ డే ఉపన్యాసం
ముందు గా ప్రిన్సిపాల్ వేలాయుతం గారికి, ce hod చంద్రశేఖర్ గారికి, ece ఇంచార్జ్ అజమీర గారికి, సూపరింటెండెంట్ బాబు గారికి, నా తోటి సహచర సిబ్బంది కి మరియు విద్యార్థిని విద్యార్థులకు టీచర్స్ డే శుభాకాంక్షలు తెలుపుతూ నా నమస్కారములు. ఆల్రెడీ ఇక్కడ ఉన్న వక్తలు అందరు టీచర్స్ డే ప్రాముఖ్యత గురించి చెప్పేసారు కాబట్టి, నా యొక్క స్పీచ్ ని తక్కువ సమయం లో ముగించేస్తాను. ప్రతి ఒక్కరి జీవితం లో ముగ్గురు ఉంటారు. మొదటి స్థానం మనకు జన్మనిచ్చిన తల్లి, తల్లి మనకు మొదటి టీచర్. మిమ్మల్ని ఒడిలో పెట్టుకొని అక్షరాలు సిద్ధిస్తుంది. తర్వాత మన తండ్రి, మనకు నడవడిక నేర్పి, బాధ్యత గ ఉండాలని బోధిస్తాడు. అయన మీ రెండవ టీచర్. తర్వాత మీకు స్కూల్ నుంచి, కాలేజీ ఆ తర్వాత యూనివర్సిటీ లో వివిధ రూపంలో మీ మాస్టర్లు మీకు సబ్జెక్టు ను బోధిస్తారు. అందుకే మన పురాణాలలో కూడా ఉంది . మాతృ దెవొ భావ, పిత్రో దేవా భావ, గురు దెవొ భావ. ఈ ముగ్గురు మనకు దైవం తో సమానం. నేను టీచర్ గా ఉన్నందుకు గర్వ పడుతున్నాను. అష్ట చెమ్మ అనే సినిమా లో మహేష్ అన్న మాటకు వైబ్రేషన్ ఉంది. అలాగే టీచర్ అన్న మాట కి కూడా అదే ఫీలింగ్ ఉంటుంది. ఇప్పుడు teacher అనే పదం లో మొదటి అక్షరం t – టాలెంటెడ్ అని, e – enthusiast అని, a – adorable అని, సి – క్రియేటివ్ అని, h – హానెస్ట్ అని, e – efficient అని, r – resourceful అని. ఇప్పుడు మన పురాణాలలో చూసుకుంటే, ద్రోణాచార్యుడు ఉన్నాడు అతను, పాండవులకు, కౌరవలకు గురువు. కానీ ఏకలవ్యుడు అనే అతను , తనను ద్రోణాచార్యుడు శిష్యుడు గా స్వీకరించలేదని, అతని విగ్రహం తాయారు చేసుకొని, విలువిద్య లో ఆరితేరాడు. కానీ అతనిని గురుదక్షిణ క్రింద ద్రోణాచార్యుడు అతనికి విలువిద్య దక్క కుండా చేస్తాడు. ఇప్పుడు మహాభారతం లో అర్జునుడు, శ్రీ కృష్ణుడి తో కలసి యుద్ధ భూమి కి వెళతాడు. కానీ అక్కడ , తన శత్రువులంతా భందువులని, యుద్ధం చేయనంటాడు. అప్పుడు రధసారధి గా ఉన్న శ్రీ కృష్ణుడు ఒక టీచర్ గ మారి అర్జునిడికి కర్తవ్యం బోధిస్తాడు. దానినే మనం భగవద్గిత అంటామ్. ఈ విధం గా ప్రతీ ఒక్కరికి టీచర్ అవసరం చాల ఉంటుంది. టీచర్ మన లో ఉన్న అజ్ఞానాన్ని పారత్రోలి జ్ఞానాన్ని నింపుతాడు. ఈ రోజున మనం టీచర్స్ డే జరుపుకుంటున్నాం అంటే, అంత ఆ Dr. సర్వ్ పల్లి రాధాకృష్ణన్ వల్లే. అయన యొక్క పుట్టిని రోజిని భారత దేశాంతంతా టీచర్స్ డే జరుపుకుంటున్నాము. అయన యొక్క తల్లి తండ్రలు తెలుగు వారు. అయన చెన్నై లో జన్మించి , విద్యాబుద్దులు అక్కడే నేర్చుకొని, తర్వాత ఆంధ్ర యూనివర్సిటీ కి వైస్- ఛాన్సలర్ గ పనిచేసి, ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి అయ్యి తర్వాత రాష్ట్రపతి అయ్యారు.
