B.Sc. Nursing<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
Nurses are the bridges between patients and doctors. They are the second-rung medical professionals who coordinate the entire medical treatment. The undergraduate programme in nursing i.e. B.Sc. Nursing is a four-year course and the basic eligibility is pass in Intermediate with BiPC.<\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
General Nursing Midwifery<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) is a three and half year course. Those who have completed Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) would be given lateral entry in the second year of the course. In our state, about 234 colleges are offering this course and the pass of Intermediate with BiPC is the eligibility.<\/div>\n

Military Nursing Service<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
Those who have completed their Intermediate (BiPC) with 45% marks are eligible for this course. Unmarried, divorced and widowed women within the age group of 17 and 24 years are eligible for this programme. Admission into this course will be made based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam. After completion of course, the graduates shall work in the military hospitals for at least 5 years.<\/div>\n

Career Prospects<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
Nursing graduates can find opportunities in government, private and corporate hospitals, nursing homes, private clinics, old age homes, schools, industrial houses, different central and state government organisations, departments and healthcare division of Railways.<\/div>\n

Opportunities Abroad<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
Employment opportunities are available for the nursing graduates not only in India, but also in abroad. Shortage of nurses in the developed countries has become a boon for Indians. Countries such as USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and Singapore are recruiting nurses from India.<\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
To seize these opportunities, the nursing graduates have to sit for the exams conducted by respective governments. For example, those who would like to settle in USA shall clear the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX -RN) conducted by the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Schools (CGFNS). Likewise, those who are interested in Canada shall clear Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE).<\/div>\n

Besides these countries, Gulf nations are also recruiting Indian nurses in a big number. The nursing graduates with mastery over English language can easily find the foreign opportunities. In US, they can get a monthly salary of US $ 5,000.<\/div>\n
