Food Technology is a multi-disciplinary course which involves study of various branches such as Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry and Nutrition, Food and Industrial Microbiology, Food Trade and Safety Management
It deals with production, preservation, development of new products, packaging, quality assurance, food laws and regulations, environmental science, engineering aspects such as mass transfer, heat transfer, food processing equipment, instrumentation and process control, plant layout, plant design as well as different aspects of food trade and business management such as co-operation, marketing and finance, business management and international trade and entrepreneurship development for various food products.
EligibilityA candidate for admission to the Four Year Degree course in Food Technology must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Intermediate Education with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
All the eligible applicants will have to qualify at (EAMCET) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
