1) 

Red Cedar
Juniperus virginiana, known as red cedareastern redcedar, Virginian juniper, eastern juniperred juniperpencil cedar, and aromatic cedar, is a species of juniper native to eastern North America from southeastern Canada to the Gulf of Mexico and east of the Great Plains.] Further west it is replaced by the related Juniperus scopulorum (Rocky Mountain juniper) and to the southwest by Juniperus ashei (Ashe juniper).

Eastern juniper is a pioneer species, which means that it is one of the first trees to repopulate cleared, eroded, or otherwise damaged land. It is unusually long lived among pioneer species, with the potential to live over 900 years.

Anthurium andraeanum
Anthurium andraeanum is a flowering plant species in the family Araceae that is native to Colombia and Ecuador.  A winner of the Royal Horticultural Society‘s Award of Garden Merit, it is one of the plants listed in the NASA Clean Air Study as effective in removing formaldehydexylenetoluene, and ammonia from the air.

Costus igeus,  commonly known as insulin plant in India, belongs to family Costaceae. It is believed that consumption of the leaves helps lower the blood glucose levels, and diabetics who consumed the leaves of this plant report a fall in their blood glucose levels.

Adenium obesum

Adenium obesum is a species of flowering plant in the dogbane family, Apocynaceae, that is native to the Sahel regions, south of the Sahara (from Mauritania and Senegal to Sudan), and tropical and subtropical eastern and southern Africa and Arabia. Common names include Sabi starkudumock azaleaimpala lily and desert rose.

Barberton daisy
Gerbera jamesonii is a species of flowering plant in the genus Gerbera. It is indigenous to South Eastern Africa and commonly known as the Barberton daisy, the Transvaal daisy and as Barbertonse madeliefie in Afrikaans.

Native to South Africa this species is a perennial in warmer climates but in cooler countries (temperate regions) it’s grown as an annual and flowering pot plant. 

Flowering: The Barberton daisy is available in many colors from white through to bright red and different shades as well. The hybrids sold in garden centers produce two or more single stemmed stalks with a single flower sitting at the top. The capitula (flower head) is approximately 3 – 4 inches wide and displays multiple soft petals from a centrepiece of stamens, anthers, and carpels that look outstanding close up.

Cymbopogon flexuosus

Cymbopogon flexuosus, also called Cochin grassEast-Indian lemon grass or Malabar grass, is a perennial grass native to India, Sri Lanka, Burma, and Thailand. It is placed in the genus Cymbopogon (lemongrasses).
Its essential oil is produced by steam distillation of the freshly cut leaves, or it can be extracted using alcohol.
